Sanna Bay
At Sanna Bay there is a large sandy beach with stunning views of the Inner Hebrides and such clear waters that you can see the fish swimming.
Ockle
On the approach to Ockle the road crosses a beautiful burn, which winds its way through woodland beneath the windows of Burnside.
Natural History Centre
The Natural History Centre at Glen More offers a very interesting interpretive history of the area, and has an attractive cafe and shop.
The Singing Sands
If you feel like a good walk, there is a beautiful bay at Gortenfern, three and a half miles from Ockle, where the sand sings as it slips between your toes.
Ardnamurchan Lighthouse
Ardnamurchan Point is the most westerly point of the British mainland. The lighthouse has a multimedia exhibition centre, tea room and shop.
North Coast
The North Coast is outstandingly beautiful at any time of year, with views to the Inner Hebrides and the Isle of Skye. This is Kilmory in mid-winter.
Area Map
Almost an island itself, the Ardnamurchan peninsula lies between the Isle of Mull to the South, and the Small Isles - Rhum, Eigg and Muck - to the North.
Kilchoan
Kilchoan has a well-stocked village shop, post office and petrol pumps by the waterside. Two hotels in the Kilchoan area serve meals and bar snacks to visitors.
Tobermory
A regular ferry service runs between Kilchoan and the lovely harbour town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, which has many visitor facilities and interesting shops.
